Social networking sites basically operate two revenue streams: contextual/banner advertising and subscriptions for premium services.
Cyworld.com allows users to create profiles for free, but the user has to pay if they want to customize it.

Reply:Well, some offer products, such as facebook. But the majority of the income is based on advertising.
