The BEST social networking for people in the mental health field is their "OWN" 12 step program...One of the most valuable tools I ever saw used by "HEALTHY" Boundaried Clinicians were the ones working their"OWN" 12 step programs...
These type of "work on yourself" programs make the best clinicians out of people in the mental health field ....the reason why is because it helps the clinicians not fall into the "enabling, co-dependency, rescuing and fixng trap".. so many clinicians do that haven't looked inside themselves and their own issues yet....
The fun thing about the Co-Dependents anonymous groups and or the Al-anon groups most clinicians use..They all respond that it keeps them HUMBLE for themselve and healthy for their patients......and you meet some of the best friends you will ever meet in your life...and It's fun!!!
I belonged to a Professionals 12 step program..It was super!!!!

Also check out the www.Miracles in Progress.org groups online...Click on the Al-Anon and Co-dependents groups...There you can see how the groups work and get an idea of what a local group will be like for you...

Do you mean, you're trying to find a therapist to help with treatment in your area, or you are a mental health practitioner and you are trying to get your name out there?
It sounds like the latter, but you should probably clarify.
